Mission Groups

We fulfill our Godly service through our various ministry teams we call “Mission Groups”. We call them that because we believe that all we do is missional, that is, we witness to the love of God through the things we do in the name of Christ.

Reaching Out Mission Group
We serve the most vulnerable in our community and beyond by partnering with local Christian helping organizations to connect people with basic physical and spiritual needs. This mission group oversees our outreach to the community.

Community Visibility Mission Group
We strive to become known in the Gilbert community by having a presence at local events and festivals, overseeing our website and social media pages, and creating public “splash” events that exposes our church and what we do to people in the community.

Fellowship Mission Group

This group is responsible for planning and overseeing celebratory and relationship building events between congregants and with the local community. They organize the weekly fellowship time after church on Sundays, and provide food, entertainment, and more for special worship and social events.

Pastoral Care Mission Group
Through prayer and caring hearts and hands, this team seeks to help meet the spiritual and personal needs of our congregation and people in our local community.

Music Mission Group

God often uses music to reach the depths of our souls. Our choir and musicians work faithfully to lead the congregation in singing a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music at our worship services and make musical offerings in our local community that communicates the great love that God has for his people.

Newcomer’s Mission Group

Greeters welcome Sunday morning visitors and in subsequent weeks shepherd them through a process to connect them with our church. Once a quarter, our pastor hosts an orientation program and dinner for all recent comers to Resurrection where they learn about our history, our vision for mission, opportunities for service, and how they can plug into life at Resurrection.
